Hello all, its me again! Your favorite baker perfectly sweet dessert maker. Haha, I made a rhyme. Anyway lets talk cookies! Everyone loves cookies if they say they don't, honey...they are telling a big fat chocolate chip double fudge cookie lie! So how does one make the perfect cookie? Well its pretty easy...to mess up a recipe. Look i have been baking for a long time but the first time I attempted to make peanut butter cookies without my grandmother, they came out of the oven a weeping mess.. Whomp whomp. So getting back to make the perfect cookie, ready for the secret? There is no secret, follow the recipe, be precise and measure twice bake once.
However, although I don't have a secret for you I do have a suggestion or a couple tricks of the trade if you may. One trick is to use room temperature ingredients. Allow them to set out on the counter or use warm water to get the eggs room temp, place the butter under a hot glass or bowl to soften. By using room temp ingredients this allows them to mix easier. Another trick is to mix the ingredients and allow them to "chill". After mixing the cookies roll in plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for at least an hour but over night is best. If making cut outs, go ahead and cut them out and allow them to chill on the cookie sheet. This allows the flavors to "marry". Best part about this type of marriage is you don't need to bring a gift, you get to eat it! Get it, You know cause you get to eat the cookie. After this sweet union your cookies will bake up soft, gooey and need I say Perfect!
